APAC's project pipeline and technology

Vietnam's 1.8 GW of proposed projects are at the survey stage. Seabed surveys usually come before design, permitting and financing, so these projects are not yet approved for construction.

In Japan, the WindFloat TC design has an Approval in Principle for 15 MW-class turbines. That is a design milestone, not a project approval, but it matters because much of Japan's coastline has deep water that suits floating wind.

Both developments could eventually support demand for survey, installation and maintenance contractors in the region.
